I hope everyone is well and getting ready for Christmas it will be here before we know it. I decided to share another mermaid I finished today. I didn't put her in a card form yet because I think I am going to frame some of these that I make and give them as gifts since everyone loves them so much ;)
I used the image "Orchids & Pearls Mermaid" from Diana Martin Studio she has such beautiful images you can see them here ~http://www.etsy.com/shop/DianaMartinStudio .
~The Details~
I colored the image with pastel pencils and used pearlescent chalks for the background ... it was then sprayed with fixative to keep it from smearing. Then I used green and white gel pens for the mermaids eyes, her lips were done with smooch accent inks. Her tail and mermaid body were glittered with red and silver. Her hair was done with peach and brown glitter. Her mermaid top was made by gluing on red Rox and shaping them by hand. I then glued on all the silver beads and rhinestones along with the shells. Her flowers are Prima flowers with a red pearl flower center added. I did her in red and silver because it seemed more Christmas like to me.
