Poppy Love --- In a Sweet Pea Dream --- Favorite Color --- Challenge # 15

Hello again,
I hope everyone is having nice weather.  We are actually having summer weather already ... too warm -- it has been in the high 80's this week. Hopefully it will cool off a little and we will have a Spring season this year.  For this weeks challenge I chose the color red.  I like all colors but I really do love the color red it is such a powerful color. I chose Ching-Chou Kuik's image "Poppy Love". The first one I did ended up in the garbage, which is unusual for me because I always try to make things work but the hair and red glitter colors I used just didn't work, so I started over and I am glad I did.
~The Details~
I used my pearlescent chalks to color the background and this time I also used them for the images skin tone... they seem to blend better than my watercolors have been blending for that.  Then I colored in the rest of the image with my watercolor pencils and glittered her.  I used The Art Institute glitters in #1 - True Red, #6 - Dubonnet, # 246 Mardi Gras and #131 - Black Hole.  I also used a black glaze pen to make some of the lines stand out. I added tiny half pearls to the poppies and pulled everything together with the red lace, black beaded pearl strip, corner pieces, "dream" sentiment sticker and tiny pearl accents. I hope you like her and thanks for taking the time to look at my glittery creation ;)

More Hannah Lynn Poker Chips and some Vargas Girls Too ;)

Hi Again,
I was busy playing with poker chips over the weekend again.  I used more of my beautiful Hannah Lynn images and also my Vargas pin~up girl images.  If you haven't checked out Hannah Lynn's website here it is for you to go to http://www.hannahdisney.com/   you will not be disappointed she has such amazing art with gorgeous and vivid colors. :)   All of the crystals added to the poker chips are swarovski crystal... they really are the best and they have amazing sparkle.  These will be either magnets, key chains / purse charms or some I am going to make into good luck chips with a little saying on the back.  They will all be listed in the store shortly... unless a few get chipnapped by friends and family lol ;)   Thanks for taking the time to look at my creations and if there is something special you would like you can e-mail me through the store or convo me here.

A Peek At My Vargas Pin-Up Girl Purse Charms

Hi Again,
I decided to show you what I have been working on today and yesterday in between cleaning and all that good stuff.  These started out as plain white ceramic hearts and I painted them with acrylic paint and then I decoupaged the Vargas girl images on them.  Next I put the teeny tiny little micro beads on the two you see in the lower corner.  I took a close up pic so you can see the detail.  These are almost done. I had two others almost done, but being a perfectionist I took them apart and will be starting them over because I didn't like the way they looked.  I will share more as I do them. Hope you like my little peek at my creations. ;)

Finished Plexi-Glass Glittered Celestia, Stormy Moon and One and Only Heart

Hi Again everyone,
I am finally done cleaning up after the small tornado we had come through here this week. We only lost one tree and our roof-over. Very scary but glad it wasn't worse :)  I started these images ~ Elaine Cox's CELESTIA & STORMY MOON and also one of Chin-Chou Kuik's ONE AND ONLY HEART on the plexi-glass in February @ the 18th or so and I finished them about a week after that.  Then I glued everything down and had to wait for them to completely dry.  It takes sooo long especially when it is humid ... but the results are sooo worth it.  I am very happy with these and am going to be working on  more of them the next set will include Elaine Cox's new mermaid images.
I hope you like them and thanks for taking the time to look at my glittery creations. ;)

Little River Mermaid --- In A Sweet Pea Dream --- Hello Spring --- Challenge # 14

Hi again,
I hope everyone is having spring like weather finally.  We had rain all day Monday ... perfect craft day so I started this card and finished her up last night.  This time I chose an adorable Elaine Cox image --- "Little River Mermaid" it just seemed very spring like to me with her sitting on the nice green grass with her little froggy pal.   Be sure to go over to Sweet Pea and check out Elaine's and the other artist's new releases here http://www.sweetpeastamps.com/  not to mention all the great stamps that are on sale right now. ;)
~ The Details ~
I did the usual of coloring the background with my pearlescent chalks and coloring the rest with watercolor pencils.  Then I glittered the image with Art Institute glitter. Her hair was done in Rose Gold and Orange Crush.  Her mermaid body was done in Cosmos and Mica Delights Glitter in Ruby.  I used the larger Art Institute beads on her body in Deco Pink and Vermilion.  The trees in the back were done in 2 different brown fun flocks.  The grass and the bank were done in flower soft sprinkles.  I also glossy accented the frog and the water -- I think you can see it on the close up pic.  I punched out all the orange triangles that I made from my tattered angels sprays, then I added the blue paper I made the same way and finished with the flowers and tiny aqua pearls.  She is on a die cut shell behind a paper doily and to finish it I added the "together" style stone and the butterfly.  I hope you like it and thanks for taking the time to look at my glittery creation ;)

Kyla's B-day Card -- Hannah Lynn Digi -- Cali --

Hi again,
I just wanted to share the birthday card I made for my daughter Kyla, she turned 19 on Friday ... hard to believe ... where does the time go lol.  This card was made using Hannah Lynn's Digi stamp -- CALI -- you can purchase it here http://www.etsy.com/shop/hannahlynnart?ref=seller_info or you can go to her website here http://hannahlynnart.com/  to find it along with lots of other wonderful items.
  ~Details ~
I didn't watercolor this one since it is a digi and you can't really print on watercolor paper, so I just colored her with colored pencils then glittered her and added the pearlescent papers. Then I added the doily heart, pearl strands, the glittery butterflies, the roses and the little wish sticker.  I like how it came out and she did too. ;)
Thanks for taking the time to check out my glittery creation ;)
