Orchids & Pearls Mermaid

Hi again,
I hope everyone is well and getting ready for Christmas it will be here before we know it.  I decided to share another mermaid I finished today.  I didn't put her in a card form yet because I think I am going to frame some of these that I make and give them as gifts since everyone loves them so much ;)
I used the image "Orchids & Pearls Mermaid" from Diana Martin Studio she has such beautiful images you can see them here ~http://www.etsy.com/shop/DianaMartinStudio .
~The Details~
I colored the image with pastel pencils and used pearlescent chalks for the background ... it was then sprayed with fixative to keep it from smearing.   Then I used green and white gel pens for the mermaids eyes, her lips were done with smooch accent inks.  Her tail and mermaid body were glittered with red and silver. Her hair was done with peach and brown glitter. Her mermaid top was made by gluing on red Rox and shaping them by hand.  I then glued on all the silver beads and rhinestones along with the shells.  Her flowers are Prima flowers with a red pearl flower center added.  I did her in red and silver because it seemed more Christmas like to me.  Hope you like my glittery creation and thanks for looking ;)

ps ~ I added 4 pics so you can see how the glitter looks when it is in different lighting ;)

I Love To Dance Mermaid Times Two

I figured it has been waaay too long since I have posted... I have been busy with my Etsy store and I didn't feel well for awhile my fibromyalgia was being stubborn again.   I thought I would share two mermaids I did this week.  This is an image from Diana Martin Studio named "I Love To Dance" I did one in a darker red hair with greens and the other in a lighter red hair with silver and golds.  You can get the image here http://www.etsy.com/listing/81908752/i-love-to-dance-digital-stamp-mermaid  Diana has lots of other wonderful images also.
~ The Details ~
I took a picture of before and after for this one also so you can see the difference and how much detail actually goes into making these little creations. ;)   I did the background with my pearlescent chalks and then colored everything with colored pencils. One mermaid in greens the other in golds and silvers.  Her hair and mermaid body were then glittered and her top was decorated with glass glitters and beads on both.  Hope you like them and Thanks for looking ;)
